In 2014, the Romanian Ski Biathlon Federation celebrated its 90th year of existence, on which occasion we reminded that in 1924, Romania was among the 16 countries that were in the International Forum (FIS).

Currently FRSB brings together more than 60 ski sports clubs, with a total of nearly 2,000 registered athletes. Every year, under the aegis of the Romanian Ski Biathlon Federation,national and international ski competitions are organized on the slopes in Azuga, Sinaia, Busteni, Predeal, Poiana Brasov, Rasnov, Cheile Gradistei, Vatra Dornei, Sibiu, Cluj, Harghita, Petrosani, Semenic. Competitions are held in 5 disciplines: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, snowboarding and biathlon. Thanks to the implementation of a performance management, the Executive Committee has successfully managed the implementation of medium and long-term strategy entitled "Building for Future". Under this strategy we acted on three fronts, building the infrastructure for skiing and biathlon, world class coaches and selection body improvement, training and supporting children to be enrolled in junior and youth Olympic Centers.
